The Copernicus Incubation Programme supports the most commercially-promising and innovative business applications based on Copernicus data and services. Every year 20 European start-ups get 50.000 euro to finance their incubation in an organisation of their choice.
Every application is thoroughly assessed by a board of experts in the fields of Earth Observation data, venture capital or start-up incubation. Do you work within one of these fields and would you like to support creativity and innovation? Join our team of experts and help us judge applicants for the Copernicus Incubation Programme.
The experts’ working language is English, so a good working knowledge of English is essential. No traveling is required.

Nature of the assignment
Experts of the evaluation board examine applications based on published criteria. Their comments and scores inform the Copernicus Incubation Programme funding decision. The experts’ tasks include:
- Reviewing submitted applications in preparation of their evaluation;
- Participation in 1 to 4 evaluation board meetings via an online platform, each approximately one working day;
- Expert evaluation of each applicant, based on provided scorecards.

The Copernicus Incubation Programme is building a network of investors with a particular interest in Copernicus start-ups. Start-up applicants looking for co-funding or additional investment may be presented to the Copernicus Investor Network in a highly confidential manner.
